Claude Code
Run bots on Claude Code with your own Claude sign-in, and add more than one Claude account.
Claude Code is Anthropic's command-line coding agent. Murage runs it as an engine, so a bot on Claude Code thinks with your own Claude sign-in and your plan's limits. In Murage's lists it's called Claude.
Claude is a trademark of its owner. Murage isn't affiliated with Anthropic.
When to use it
- You already pay for Claude and want your bots to use it.
- You want the widest set of Murage features on one engine: handing off work, connected apps, the built-in browser, computers, your phone and pictures.
- You want to run several Claude accounts side by side, for example a personal and a work account.
Install and sign in
- Open Settings → Engines and find Claude.
- If it says Not detected, choose Open install in Terminal. Murage opens Terminal with this command ready to paste:
npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code
This needs Node.js and npm. Paste the command, press Enter and wait for it to finish.
- If the status says Detected · sign-in required, choose Open sign-in in Terminal and finish Claude's sign-in there. The command is:
claude auth login
- Back in Murage, choose Check again. The status should read Detected · signed in.
Don't paste your Claude password into Murage. The sign-in happens in Claude Code itself.
What works
- Tools: all of Murage's tools, including handing work to other bots, memory search, your own MCP servers, connected apps, the built-in browser, cloud and local computers, this computer (with your approval) and a USB-connected Android phone.
- Pictures you attach go straight to the model.
- Model picking: Claude's own models, the Flux Router tiers, models from an Anthropic key in Settings → Models, and local models that pass Murage's test for Claude-style tools.
- Effort: low, medium, high, xhigh and max in Bot settings → Model.
- Messages while it works: you can keep typing while a Claude Code bot is mid-turn. Your message reaches it before its next step.
- Engine commands: type
/to see Claude Code's own commands next to Murage's. Commands that only make sense in a terminal are hidden.
More than one Claude account
Murage can keep several Claude accounts, each in its own configuration folder. Your default Claude login is left exactly as it is.
- Open Settings → Engines and scroll to Claude accounts in the Claude card.
- Choose Add Claude account.
- Enter an Account name. Leave Configuration directory (optional) blank for a new, separate folder, or type an absolute or
~/path. Existing credentials are never moved or copied. - Choose Create account.
- Open Sign-in instructions for the new account and choose Copy sign-in command for it. Run it in your terminal (PowerShell on Windows) and finish Claude's sign-in yourself. Murage doesn't sign in for you.
- Choose Refresh accounts. The account should say Signed in.
- Pick the account in a bot's model list. Existing bots keep the account they had.
Account changes are only allowed when no work is running. Removing an account takes it out of Murage but doesn't revoke its login or delete its files. An account that bots or past conversations use can't be removed.
Known limits
- Your Claude plan's usage limits apply. Murage can't raise them.
- A Claude subscription doesn't pay for voice calls. Voice needs Flux Router credits or your own voice keys.
- Local models only appear for Claude Code after they pass the Claude (messages) check in Settings → Models → Local models.
- If you've set Claude Code to skip its own permission prompts, Murage won't offer it control of this computer, because it can't ask you first.
Troubleshooting
"Claude needs you to sign in. Open engine setup to continue." Run claude auth login in a terminal, then choose Check again.
"claude CLI not found" Claude Code isn't installed where Murage looks. Install it, restart Murage, or choose Set CLI… and pick the claude program yourself.
"The selected model provider could not authenticate. Review its saved connection in Settings." The bot is using a model from a saved key or Flux Router, and that key failed. Check it in Settings → Models.
"401 Unauthorized" The sign-in expired. Sign in again with claude auth login.
A second account says "Sign-in required" Run that account's own sign-in command from Sign-in instructions, not the plain claude auth login, so the login lands in the right folder.
