Share to Murage and Ask Murage
Share a link, photo or file from any app on your phone straight into a chat with a bot, or ask your bots from anywhere on the phone by voice or with one tap.
Share to Murage
Step 1
Share from any app
In any app on the phone, use its share button and pick Murage. Links, photos and files all work.
You're done when: the share sheet shows Murage.
Step 2
Pick the bot
Choose a chat under Recent chats, or New chat with Ember to start one. The phone shows Sending... and then Sent to Ember. Press Open the chat to watch the reply come in.
If your computer is out of reach, the phone says Your computer isn't reachable right now. Murage will send this when it is. and keeps the item under Waiting to send until it can.
You're done when: the phone reads Sent to Ember, with an Open the chat button.
In the chat, a line that came from the phone is marked From your phone. Those lines cannot be edited. They carry an Ask again button instead, which sends the same thing as a message typed by you.
Ask Murage
Ask Murage lets you ask your bots from anywhere on the phone, by voice or with one tap, without finding the app and the right chat first. On Android you can also make Murage your assistant app, so the gesture or button you already use for an assistant opens a bot instead.
A question that arrives through Share to Murage or Ask Murage is handled differently from one you type in a direct chat. A bot will answer it, but it will not use phone tools for it. If you want the bot to add something to your calendar from a shared item, tap Ask again on that line.
Turn it off for a phone
Each phone has its own switch, Share and ask from this phone. With it off, the phone reads Sharing and asking are off for this phone. and the share sheet entry stops working for that phone. Phone tools have their own switches, so you can keep one without the other.
