Murage vs Genspark

Genspark is a cloud AI workspace for slides, docs and sheets, plus Claw, an agent on its own cloud computer, on monthly credits. Murage is a free desktop app where a Chief of Staff runs standing teams of bots on the AI you already pay for.

The short answer

Genspark brings its tools and its cloud; Murage brings the AI you already pay for into a team you keep on your computer.

You talk to one Chief of Staff. It builds the team, and each bot runs the engine that suits its job, on the plan or key you already have. An engine is the AI that does a bot’s thinking. To run teams and use tools, pick a tool-capable one: Claude Code, Codex, Hermes, or the built-in Fuigo engine with a supported model. A plain OpenAI-compatible endpoint works for chat and drafting only. Portraits made with Murage’s own avatar generator. See every engine

Murage does not run Genspark. It takes the same idea a layer up

Your AI, your computer, a team that stays.

Genspark brings its own tools, models and cloud computer. Murage starts from the AI you already pay for. You tell your Chief of Staff what you need, it builds a team of named bots, and they work on your computer with Claude Code, Codex, Hermes or a local model, remembering the job from one day to the next.

What Murage adds on top

  • A Chief of Staff that takes the brief, plans the job and hands out the work
  • Teams of named bots, each with its own face, voice, personality and memory on your computer
  • 1,500+ apps (Gmail, Slack, Notion, GitHub) through Flux Router credits or your own connected-apps key
  • Voice calls with any bot, plus your Chief on Telegram, Slack and Discord: send a voice message and get a voice reply
  • Swap engines whenever you like. Your team, memory and approvals stay put

Genspark

Shown after sign-in

Genspark shows prices after sign-in. Plus starts from 10,000 monthly credits, Pro from 125,000; Claw is a separate subscription. Genspark’s price includes the models it offers, paid for in credits. Murage is free but doesn’t include the AI: add the AI plan or key you bring.

What Murage adds for a Genspark user.

The brief

“Go through my inbox before I get in. Draft replies in my voice. Send nothing.”

What came back

Twelve emails came in. The team drafted eight replies, set four aside, and left two questions only the owner could answer. Nothing was sent.

Free on top of your AI plan

The Murage app is free. Your AI provider bills you as usual, and a busy team uses your plan’s allowance faster. Flux Router credits are optional; your own keys work instead.

A standing team

Your Chief of Staff builds a team of named bots, each with a role, memory and routines, and they’re still on the job tomorrow.

The AI you already pay for

Each bot runs Claude Code, Codex, Hermes, a local model or an API key. Swap engines whenever you like, and the team, memory and approvals stay put.

Memory and files on your computer

What your team knows lives on your machine, open to read and edit, and the whole app is open source under AGPL-3.0.

Asks first, and talks back

New bots start on Ask, with a stop line on Full access for the few outside actions that need your yes. Call any bot and talk, or send your Chief a voice message in Telegram, Slack or Discord and get a voice reply.

Where Genspark is ahead.

Fair’s fair. If one of these matters most to you, it may be the better choice today.

  1. 1

    Video generation built in

Video from many models in one place. Murage bots can use a video service you connect.

  2. 2

    Runs in the cloud

Tasks, and Claw on its own cloud computer, keep going with your computer off. Murage runs while your computer is on, until Murage Cloud opens.

  3. 3

    Phone apps and no setup

Sign in on the web, iOS or Android and start. Call For Me even phones businesses for you.

Which should you choose?

Questions about Murage and Genspark.

Does Murage make slides, documents and websites?+

Yes. Murage bots on Claude Code or Codex build slides, docs and web pages as files in your folders, and make images with Flux or your own OpenAI key. Video isn’t built in, but a bot can use a video service you connect.

How do the costs compare?+

Murage itself is free. You pay your AI provider as usual. Flux Router credits are optional, for AI models, connected apps, voice, images or web search when you don’t bring your own keys. Genspark bills a monthly plan with credits, and those credits cover the AI it runs.

Can my staff use it too?+

Yes. Each person runs Murage on their own computer, with their own AI sign-in. Build a team once, export it, and everyone imports the same bots, skills and routines; logins never travel. Bots can post drafts to your team’s Slack channels through connected apps, with your approval. Shared always-on workspaces will come with Murage Cloud, which isn’t open yet.

Is Murage made by Genspark?+

No. Murage is an independent open-source project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Genspark.
