Health checks
The Health card in the Inbox and in Settings shows what Murage's own checks found, with one short daily summary when something changed.
What the card shows
The card shows how many issues are open, the most important one in plain words, and when the checks last ran. Two lines cover the quiet days:
- No issues found in the checked sources. means every check had fresh figures and found nothing.
- Some health checks are waiting for fresh information. means a check has not had new figures yet. The card does not claim more than it saw.
Open an issue and you get when it started, what was measured, whether it is recovering, and a button that takes you to the place to act on it, such as Backups or Memory settings.
When you hear about it
Once a day at 09:00 your time, the Inbox gets one short health summary, and only when something is open, changed or recovered. A day with nothing new gets no summary at all, so a quiet Inbox is the normal state and not a sign the checks stopped.
The card itself always shows when the checks last ran.
Two things send a notification on their own, outside that summary: backups that are switched on but have no checked backup, and heavy disk writes that keep going for five minutes while Murage is idle. Your notification settings and quiet hours apply. The notification only ever says that a health check needs your attention, never what it found.
How the checker works
A small checker runs on its own every two minutes, even while the app is closed. It reads figures Murage writes for it: backup results, disk write totals, memory learning counts and similar numbers, and nothing beyond those, which is why it can run while the app is shut.
