Murage for Chrome (coming)
Murage for Chrome is coming. The Chrome extension will let a bot use the tabs you share, signed in as you, with Pause and Stop close at hand.
The extension will connect the browser you already use to Murage on the same computer. You'll share a tab with one of your bots, and the bot will work in that tab, signed in as you. It's optional: Murage works without it.
Browsers
Chrome, on Mac and Windows. It will be for Chrome only.
What it will need
- Murage open on the same computer. The extension won't reach Murage on another machine.
- The browser connection turned on in Murage's Browser settings. Murage asks you to confirm it once.
How sharing a tab will work
- Open the extension's side panel.
- Pick a bot and choose Share current tab.
- Choose Unshare when you're done, or Pause and Stop at any time.
The bot will only get the tabs you share. Each bot's tabs will sit in their own tab group, labeled with the bot's name.
How you'll stay in control
- Set each site to Allow, Ask each time or Never.
- Allowing a site won't approve sending, posting or buying. Those will still ask in Murage.
- Password managers, banks and payment pages will be handed back to you.
- Type or click on a page the bot is using and the bot will pause.
- The extension will have no tool for reading cookies or passwords.
- Stop can't undo something a site has already accepted.
Page text and screenshots will go to the AI the bot uses, like any other bot work. The bot will act as you in the tabs you share, so share them with a bot you trust.
