Script access to a bot
Give a script, a command line or another AI agent a token for one bot, and let Claude Code, Codex or any MCP client use a browser through Murage.
Script access for one bot
A script on your computer, the control command line or an outside agent can talk to one of your bots when you make an access for it. The token reaches that bot only: it cannot open other bots, rooms or search. To hand a bot a task from Claude Code or Codex, see Use Murage from Claude Code, Codex and other AI apps.
Step 1
Switch it on
Open SettingsDevices, open Advanced, and find Scripts and other apps. Switch on Let scripts use a bot.
You're done when: the Scripts and other apps card shows Create access.
Step 2
Pick the bot and what it may do
Pick the bot, choose whether the script may also send messages as well as read, and choose Create access.
You're done when: a token is on screen.
Step 3
Copy the token now
Murage shows the token once: "Copy this now. Murage shows it once. Put it in MURAGE_TOKEN for the script." Copy it straight into the environment of the script or agent that will use it. If you lose it, switch that access off and create a new one.
You're done when: the token is in your script's environment.
Each access is listed with the bot's name, whether it reads or reads and sends, and the date it expires. Add another bot makes a second access. Switch off next to one access, or the main switch, stops that token working at once.
The token is a credential. Keep it out of shared files and out of a command's arguments, where it would be saved as plain text.
Browser access for other agents
A bot's browser profile holds a sign-in that several bots can share. With this switch on, an outside MCP client can use that profile too, through Murage, with its own conversation and its own permissions.
Step 1
Connect a browser first
Connect a browser in a bot's Browser panel. Until one exists the card says "Connect a browser in a bot's Browser panel before pairing an agent."
You're done when: at least one bot has a connected browser profile.
Step 2
Allow external browser tools
Open SettingsDevices and find Browser access for other agents. Switch on Allow external browser tools.
You're done when: the pairing form is showing.
Step 3
Pair the agent
Type an Agent name, such as Claude Code, pick a Browser profile if you have more than one, and choose Pair agent. Murage creates a dedicated conversation for that agent and a private pairing file on this computer.
You're done when: a block of MCP configuration is on screen.
Step 4
Copy the configuration into your client
Copy the text under Add this to your agent's MCP configuration into the client's MCP settings. It points to the pairing file, never to Murage's own credential.
You're done when: the agent lists Murage's browser tools.
Murage must stay open while the agent works. Revoke next to a client, or switching the whole feature off, ends its access immediately. Purchases, messages and other changes still go through Murage's approval, whichever agent asked.
