Cookie policy

murage.ai uses a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary to sign you in and keep your session secure, plus one that can remember a language choice. We do not use advertising cookies, and the site does not run analytics or tracking cookies. Because every cookie we set is needed for the site to work, we do not show a cookie consent banner.

Public Murage accounts are not open yet. If you browse the site and download the app, you will usually get no cookies from us at all.

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can remember something between pages or visits, such as the fact that you are signed in. Websites can also keep similar information in your browser’s local storage. This policy covers both.

The site also keeps two small preferences in your browser’s local storage:

• theme: remembers light or dark mode in your account area. The marketing pages are always shown in light mode.
• auth_last_method: remembers how you last signed in (for example email or Google) so the sign-in page can suggest it.

Neither is sent to us. You can clear them at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for murage.ai.

• No advertising or retargeting cookies
• No third-party analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics
• No social media tracking pixels
• No cookies that sell or share your data

We plan to add privacy-friendly, anonymous analytics to the site. If that, or anything else we add, uses non-essential cookies, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Some links take you to other websites, such as GitHub for downloads and source code, or Google if you choose to sign in with Google. Those sites set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control.

This policy is about the murage.ai website. The Murage desktop app is not a website and does not use website cookies to track you. Its own settings, including the choice to switch off usage analytics, are stored on your computer. See the privacy policy for what the app sends and how to switch it off.

Each bot’s built-in browser keeps its own separate profile, with its own cookies and logins for the sites that bot visits. Those stay on your computer. A bot set to the Guest profile forgets everything when you switch away from it.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings. Most browsers let you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block them for particular sites. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in to your account, but you can still browse the site and download the app.

Signing out of your account removes the sign-in cookies from your browser.

We will update this page if the cookies we use change, and change the effective date at the top.
