Session Zero is a mandatory pre-campaign session -- not optional, not skippable for "experienced groups.". Its purpose is threefold: align player expectations with the GM's vision, establish trust through safety tools, and ensure the characters and story will actually work together. A Session Zero takes 1.5 to 3 hours depending on group size and experience.
