Work with your PDFs: six leases into one table

4:02

Chapters

A pile of PDFs hides the dates you need and the clause that could hurt you. Put the files in one project folder, ask in plain words, and get back one table of every renewal date plus the one clause to worry about, with a follow-up note drafted and waiting for your yes.

What you'll learn

  • Put the PDFs in one folder and point a project at it
  • Ask in plain words: what goes in the table, and what to flag
  • Say Allow once as it opens each file
  • Check the table and the flagged clause against the lease itself
  • Ask for a follow-up note; it waits until you say the word

Miss one renewal date buried in a lease, and it rolls over without you. Six leases. Every renewal date, in one table. And the one clause to worry about, found for you. Got a pile of PDFs? Leases, contracts, quotes. The dates you need are buried in six different files, and the one clause that could hurt you is somewhere in the middle. Today, Murage goes through the whole pile and hands you one table, plus the clause to worry about. Let's do it. Step one: give the leases a home. A new project, and its purpose: Harbour Property leases. Ember's on it. Create project. Now point it at the leases. Details, Folder, Choose a folder. The Leases folder: six PDFs, one for each tenant. Set. That folder is now what this project works from. Step two: ask in plain words. How many files, what goes in the table, tenant, address, date, and what to flag: the one clause to worry about most. Send. Step three: watch it work. Before it opens each lease, Ember asks: one plain command, one file at a time. Allow once. Next lease. Allow once. And the next. Six leases, six yeses. And here's the answer, on one screen. Step four: check the table. Every tenant, every address, every renewal date, from all six leases. Fernhill Dental, first of November. Copperleaf Coffee, ninth of January, twenty twenty-eight. Don't take its word for it. Open one. Juniper Physio's lease says thirtieth of June, twenty twenty-seven. Same as the table. Step five: the clause. Thirty-one point four, in the Juniper Physio lease. If the landlord redevelops the building, they can end the lease on ninety days' notice, with no compensation. And none of the other five leases has anything like it. And there it is in the lease itself, word for word. Step six: one more ask. A short note to her business partner: the six dates, soonest first, and the clause in one line. Kept here, so she can check it. Done. A draft to Sam, the dates in order, the clause in one line. And it waits on her. Say the word, and it goes. Now try it on your own pile. Contracts: every notice period in one table. Quotes: side by side, with the catch in each. Invoices: who owes what. Same three moves: one folder, a plain ask, and what to flag. That's PDFs. Put the pile in one folder, ask in plain words, and say yes as it opens each file. You get one table, the clause that matters, and a draft that waits for your word. Pick the pile you've been putting off, and hand it over. Whatever your pile is, leases, contracts or quotes, you get the table and the clause that matters, and you're the one who says yes. Real work, finished. By an AI team you never had to hire. Let Murage handle it. Get started at murage.ai.
